Past Programming
Please note this section is for archival purposes only. In 2013, thanks to a grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation, All Things Food / Bouffe 360° has partnered with Canadian Organic Grower’s Growing Up Organic Program to provide Farm-to-School programming in SD&G. Growing Up Organic’s Farmgate Cafés and School Garden Programming are now available to schools in SD&G and Prescott-Russell. Learn more about the new program here.
Farm-to-School Program
What is a Farm-to-School Program?
Our Farm-to-School program connects students to local food, farms and sustainable livelihoods. This can include: helping schools to organize local food events, salad bar programs, school gardens and educational farm visits; providing resources for in-class education, organizing skill-building workshops for educators, and more!
Our Farm-to-School Launch in SDG
On June 21st, 2011 we launched Farm-to-School in SDG at Seaway District High School! A Farm-to-School pancake breakfast for students was held, featuring locally ground flour, and all locally produced fresh berries, apple cider, maple syrup and eggs. Click here for the original media release, or here to see photos from the event.
